As a Type I diabetic and co-designer of CarbDB, my experience with the app has been highly positive. CarbDB is a valuable tool for tracking carbohydrate intake efficiently. Users can log their carbs by item, meal, food group, or restaurant, making it easy to access historical data. This feature eliminates the need to sift through notes or estimate carbohydrate counts when dining out, allowing for quick retrieval of information with just a swipe.

While beneficial for diabetics, the app's functionality is accessible to anyone interested in monitoring their carbohydrate consumption. For those managing diabetes, CarbDB offers a user-friendly interface to input their insulin-to-carb ratio. This aspect significantly simplifies calculations when determining necessary insulin dosages, as the app manages much of the arithmetic involved.

It is important to note that CarbDB is not a medical device and should not be relied upon as the sole means of diabetes management. Rather, it serves as a complementary application to enhance the accessibility of carbohydrate information.

Navigating through the app is intuitive; users can easily swipe left and right to explore different sections of the guide.
